Dr. Josef Schenker is the Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer of Centers Urgent Care in New York.
Certified in Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical Services, Dr. Josef Schenker has committed his career to treating patients with the highest levels of care and compassion. His clinical skills and experience as an emergency physician provide Dr. Schenker with perspective and understanding of patients’ physical and emotional concerns. He combines his extensive medical know-how with sincere kindness to ensure that patients get the care they need. Dr. Schenker has unique diagnostic capabilities that allow him to quickly – and accurately—assess patients while also conveying a therapeutic calm.
At Centers Urgent Care, where Dr. Josef Schenker is the Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director, he is responsible for the clinical care provided in the fully equipped, medically advanced facility. Centers Urgent Care has a pediatric suite for the youngest patients, as well as a fully accessible treatment room for adults and the elderly.
Dr. Schenker is also the Medical Director of SeniorCare Emergency Medical Services, a leading ambulance service provider in New York City. He is an attending physician at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he is responsible for the care of numerous patients with complex and diverse health concerns.
Dr. Schenker serves as Chairman of NYC REMAC, working to guarantee compliance with NY State medical standards of care.
